Question

credit card fraud

In the near future I may have need for a criminal defense attorney. My ex-girl friend who lives in PA has contacted the Lansdowne police dept claiming that I used her credit card without her permission. I live in Hammonton, NJ and all credit card purchases happened in NJ about 500 dollars in total I have been contacted by the Lansdowne police dept and the Sgt I spoke with states that he will have to do further investigations. What can I expect and isn't this a case of he said she said?

Re: credit card fraud

I would call a NJ attorney. You could retain one for a very small retainer to deal with the police for you. Call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss.

Re: credit card fraud

Its not quite as simple as "he said/she said" because there are going to be actual receipts for actual credit charges. Proving whether various bills were authorized is going to be more difficult. There is also a question about whether the police in PA have jurisdiction over the case. The potential problems that you face from this are much greater than the relatively small amount of money involved in the credit card bills. You really ought to speak with an attorney.
